Trained as an artist, permaculture designer and yoga teacher, I have never found these practices to sit exclusive to each other. I bring my art training to my design and spend hours in the garden that translate into paintings, videos or textile creations.
These worlds have combined into Soil to Stars – which offers Permaculture Design (Grow), Art Creations (Create) and Consultancy/Workshops (Relate). As a Project Manager and Grants advisor I have experience in wide ranging creative projects and am currently a member of the Grants Assessment Team for Regional Arts Australia.
With over 20 years working in arts organisation including visual, performing, community arts and education, I am able to offer my experience as a business consultant, assist with events, project management, website development and grant submissions either online or in person.
Creating is my way of making sense of the world and at the heart of every design or creation is a love and reverence for nature and the environment where I live in Gippsland, regional Victoria.
What connects my worlds is an interest and development of conscious awareness and how this shapes our creative expression. I spent one year volunteering for the Nyingma Institute and taught yoga and meditation at the Miyoga Club in Caulfield before commencing a career in the arts industry. I have exhibited at Gaffa (Sydney), Montsalvat (Eltham, Melbourne), Stratford Courthouse, Yarram Courthouse Gallery, Briagolong Art Gallery and for The Good Art Show. Mostly you will find me in the garden if not inside cooking up the next creation.
